ALBUQUERQUE, NM - On April 15, 2015, Cornerstone Capital Holdings acquired Mechtronic Solutions, Inc. (“MSI”), a division of National Technical Systems (“NTS”). MSI has established itself as a trusted supplier of custom, automated test systems and payload pods for the aerospace and defense industries.

From its modern facility in Albuquerque, NM, the company employs a broad team of software, design, and mechanical engineers who consistently provide innovative solutions to meet customers’ demanding needs and specifications. MSI has qualified payload pods flying on numerous unmanned aerial vehicles including the General Dynamics Reaper flown by the United States Air Force.

Tim Brooks will become the President and CEO of MSI. Tim’s roots trace back to the company’s early history when he was a co-founder of the business before it was acquired by NTS.

Now back in control of MSI’s future, he looks forward to continuing its strong heritage as a valuable partner to its commercial and military customers.

"MSI has endless possibilities to grow in our industry. Our talented people are responsible for designing and building many critical test systems and aerostructures currently in use throughout the country. We are confident that as an independent business, we will be able to expand our business through our ongoing commitment to developing unique, reliable and effective solutions that exceed our customers’ demanding needs."
Tim Brooks, President & CEO, MSI

This acquisition marks Cornerstone’s third corporate divestiture and adds a new capability for test system and aerostructure design and production to our aerospace and defense portfolio.
